Muscat: The Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19 has decided to end the implementation of the ban on the movement of individuals and vehicles, starting from Saturday, May 15, 2021, until further notice.
The Supreme Committee has decided to prohibit the resumption of commercial activities for customers inside stores in all governorates of the Sultanate between 8 pm until 4 am, with the provision of delivery and handling services. Food stores are exempt from the ban.
The Supreme Committee affirmed that the decision to limit entry to complexes, shops, restaurants, and cafes will continue to apply to no more than 50% of their capacity during the period when they are allowed to receive customers.
The Supreme Committee decided to resume work with a decision to reduce the number of employees who are required to come to the workplace in the units of the state's administrative apparatus and other public legal persons to 50% of the total number of employees, provided that the employees who do not attend the workplace perform the tasks assigned to them by the remote work system.
The Supreme Committee also called for the need for all parties to continue to take the necessary precautionary and preventive measures to prevent the spread of the disease and to follow up on everyone's commitment to them.
The Supreme Committee has urged private sector companies to implement business continuity plans by working remotely and reducing the number of employees who are required to come to the workplace.
