Muscat FM Radio launched officially

Muscat: A celebration was held this evening at Muscat FM Radio Station in North Al Ghubrah under the auspices of Dr. Abdul Munim bin Mansour al- Hasani, Minister of Information to mark the radio's official launching.
The Minister of Information said that the private radios add to the Omani media system in the Sultanate. He pointed out that the private radios in the Sultanate (through radio or TV channels) play a complimentary role at the Omani media system.
He added that the new Muscat FM Radio will be a valuable addition to the Omani media system.
He affirmed that Muscat FM's coverage of the youths' social, art, culture and sports interests will present a real addition to the Omani and non-Omani radio listeners.
The radio station will transmit its programs 24/7 in the Governorate of Muscat at the first stage at 105.3 frequency. The new radio station will focus on providing programs that meet the needs of the youths and develop their talents.
The radio seeks to attract national talents to work in preparing and presenting the program. It will also benefit from the Arab experience and will ensure interaction with listeners.
Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Chairman of the Public Authority for Radio and TV, Ali bin Khalfan Al Jabri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information and Nasser bin Sulaiman Al Sibani, Deputy Chairman of the PART attended the launching ceremony.
