Oman dining: This weekend eat at... Relish

Must Eat
Relish offer an amazing array of Mexican dishes, from cheesy quesadillas and dee-lish burritos to crunchy tacos and tasty nachos. Mexican food in Oman is not the easiest to find, and Relish goes a long way in rectifying that. Their quesadillas are packed with crunchy vegetables and oodles of cheese served in some very warm toasty flat bread (you can choose between white and brown). Served with a side of their own homemade salsa, Relish’s Mexican marvels are sure to satisfy even the strongest food cravings. Their burritos on the other hand, are bursting with flavour. Packed with guacamole, pinto beans, pico de gallo and all the specialties of the Yucatan, their take on this humble Mexican staple is one that you must — nay, should — not miss.

What Is It?
Relish is one of Muscat’s new kids on the vegetarian food scene, and features an eclectic menu, with Chinese, Italian, Continental, Indian, and Mexican cuisines on offer. They also have a great buffet lunch, and a variety of drinks, shakes, cocktails, smoothies, and desserts for you to order.

Price
Because of the large number of dishes on offer, prices are generally affordable, but can get a bit steep. Expect to shell out about OMR5 on a meal for two.

Also Try
Relish’s wide-ranging menu features dishes that span the breadth of the world, from Latin American and continental Europe to the far ends of Asia. That being said, their paneer tikka sandwich is a go-to for food lovers in Oman. Served with a generous portion of fries and salad, this modern take on and Indian classic is great on its own as a meal, or as an entree to a truly delicious evening. Served on crunchy toasted bread packed with tomatoes, onions and their very own mint chutney, Relish’s signature sandwich is not to be missed on your next trip to the restaurant. [email protected]

Location
Relish is located at Al Raid business centre, between Al Araimi complex and Al Khamis Plaza, opposite Sabco Centre. They’re a bit off the main road. Once you approach Al Khamis, take a left and you should see them right next to the OIFC office. A reservation is recommended, especially on weekends.
