Help will reach all affected by recent weather in Oman: Ministry

Muscat: People affected by the recent weather conditions in North Al Batinah Governorate will receive assistance from the offices of their Excellencies in the Wilayats of the Governorate in coordination with the Ministry of Social Development.

A statement issued online by the Ministry of Social Development said: “Within the framework of the existing cooperation and coordination agreements, the offices of their Excellencies in the Wilayats of North Al Batinah Governorate are going to provide emergency aid to those affected by the recent weather situation that affected some of the Wilayats of the North Al Batinah Governorate. Assessment of the number of houses affected, and general damages are underway and then assistance will be provided through repairing and maintaining the damaged buildings and renting buildings to the families whose houses were affected.”

“For this aim, the departments of social development in the Wilayats of the North Al Batinah Governorate, in cooperation with charitable societies and teams, and with the participation of volunteers of both genders, formed work teams, as well as in coordination with various governmental and other civil agencies to provide the necessary support,” added the statement.
