Muscat: The quantity of fish landed in the Sultanate has reached more than 1,70,000 tons till the end of February 2021 with an increase of 31 percent, according to the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) .
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said: "The quantity of fish landed in the Sultanate in the artisanal, coastal and commercial fishing sectors is witnessing an increase of 31% until the end of February after it reached 176,261 tons, according to the National Center for Statistics and Information."
"Al-Wusta Governorate topped the list in terms of artisanal fishing, registering 72,268 tons, with an increase of 33.5 percent," the statement added.
