Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources has trained candidates from the families of the Social Security for the Honey Bee Project, which is funded by Oman LNG company.
The Ministry said in a statement, "The Ministry, represented by the Agricultural and Water Resources Department in Wilayat Al Kamil and Al Wafi, has trained candidates from the families of the Social Security for the Honey Bee Project, a project funded by the Oman LNG company.
Ali bin Salem Al Hashemi, Director of the Agricultural and Water Resources Department in Al Kamil and Al Wafi said, "The project will benefit the children of the families of the social security in Wilayat Al Kamil and Al Wafi. The project includes theoretical and practical aspects with the aim of getting acquainted with how to deal with Omani bees."
"A total of 20 cells will be distributed to a number of ten families, in addition to the distribution of project components such as masks, gloves, wax and frames. A program will be created by the department to follow up on the project. We hope that the project will succeed in achieving food security as well as income for families and increasing the number of cells through the division in stages," he added.
