Omani voters in GCC countries flock to polling booths

Muscat: Voters of Oman residing in the GCC countries cast their votes to elect their representatives in the Municipal Councils 2nd Term Elections.
In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Omani citizens headed to Sultanate’s Embassy in Abu Dhabi to cast their votes.
Plenipotentiary Minister Abdullah bin Hamoud Al Ma’awali, acting Charge D’affaires of the Sultanate’s Embassy in Abu Dhabi affirmed that the voting process went on smoothly according to the procedures set by the Ministry of Interior.
In Dubai, the Sultanate’s Commercial Representation office received a number of citizens, who cast their votes to select their representatives.
In Kuwait, Hamid bin Said bin Salim Al Ibrahim, Sultanate’s Ambassador to Kuwait and members of the embassy, as well as the Omani citizens and students in Kuwait cast their votes at the Embassy’s headquarters.
The Sultanate’s ambassador to Kuwait affirmed that the embassy was keen to raise the citizen’s awareness towards the importance of taking part in this elections, pointing out that the embassy briefed them with procedures of the elections. The Omani voters expressed their delight in casting their votes, looking forward to the members who will contribute in pushing forward march of the municipal work.
In Riyadh, the citizens went to the polling stations to cast their votes and select their representatives. Sayyid Dr. Ahmed bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Oman’s ambassador to the KSA and members of the embassy cast their votes as well.
Dr. Al Busaidi explained that the embassy was keen to complete the preparations for this occasion in a bid to ensure that the voting process will run smoothly.
In Qatar, Omani citizens went to the embassy in Doha to cast their votes.
Plenipotentiary Minister Mohammed bin Saleh Barham Ba Omar, Acting Charge D’afaires at the Sultanate’s Embassy in Qatar said members of the embassy cast their votes.
In Bahrain also citizens headed to the headquarters of the Sultanate’s Embassy in Manama to cast their votes and select their representatives.
