Chess: ISM U-11, U-14 girls to take part in CBSE Nationals in India

Muscat: The Under-11 and Under-14 girls teams of Indian School Muscat (ISM) will leave for India on Wednesday night to take part in the CBSE Chess National Championships.
The CBSE Chess Nationals will take place in the northern Indian city of Varanasi from December 15 to 20.
Both the ISM girls teams qualified for the nationals after topping CBSE Oman Clusters Chess Championships organized by the Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir in October.
The ISM U-11 girls team comprises Ankitha Pradeep, Amolika Subhash, Shubanghee Das and Shyabi Binoj A while U-14 girls team consists of Prathyusha Annapragada, Krishi Thiruppathi, Theertha M and Ishani Kalra.
The teams will be accompanied by their coach I. Ezekiel.
While congratulating the two teams for winning the Oman Cluster titles, School Principal Srinivas K. Naidu wished the teams all success in the CBSE Chess Nationals.
The principal also congratulated the Under-19 boys and girls teams who finished runners-up in their respective categories in the Oman Cluster tournament.
The U-19 boys team included V.M. Aditya, Paritosh Hitesh Bhatt, Vedant Mukul Anand and Akshat Anand Jha while the U-19 girls team comprised Amoolya Subhash, Bhavana Thandaka, Ananya Singh and Harshita G. Shukla.
