Muscat: Some Northern areas of Oman witnessed rainfall on Friday, according to Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA).

Wilayats of the governorates of Musandam, Al Buraimi an Al Batinah and parts of Muscat and Al Sharqiyah North witnessed isolated and sporadic rain.

In Friday’s weather forecast, PACA said: "Clear to partly cloudy skies will linger over most of the northern governorates with chances of isolated rain and thunder showers with mainly clear skies over rest of Sultanate.”

“... (there are) chances of late night to early morning low level clouds of fog over coastal areas of Arabian Sea, and there is a chance of rising dust over desert and open areas," PACA added.
