Australia win 5th ODI fixture to clinch series vs India 3-2

New Delhi: Australia produced a disciplined bowling performance to bundle India our for 237 and win the fifth and final One-Day International (ODI) by 35 runs to clinch the series 3-2.
Earlier, on Wednesday the visitors made 272 for 9 in the allotted 50 overs as Usman Khawaja continued to torment India with his second ODI century in three matches in the ongoing series.
After notching up his maiden century in the third ODI in Ranchi, Khawaja slammed 91 in the fourth ODI in Mohali before he hit a century in the series decider in Ferozeshah Kotla. He has been merciless in taking the attack to the Indians.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma added another feather in his cap as he became the joint third fastest to reach 8,000 ODI runs during the series decider against Australia in New Delhi on Wednesday. The Indian opener achieved the feat on his 200th ODI innings and is tied with former India skipper Sourav Ganguly. Virat Kohli was the fastest with 175 innings while AB De Villers is second with 182.
Overall, he become the ninth Indian cricket team player to reach 8,000 runs after Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Sourav Ganguly and Mohammad Azharuddin.
Rohit played the Australia bowlers well and he was able to bring up his 42nd half century.
