Beware of fraudsters, HSBC Oman warns bank customers

Muscat: HSBC Oman has warned its customers not to reveal any personal bank details over the phone to avoid falling prey to fraudsters.
In a message sent to its customers, the bank has urged them not disclose any personal information to people who claim that they have won a prize.
“HSBC Oman would never ask for your personal account details. Fraudsters may ask you for your personal account details to gain access to your bank account and make transactions, hence the bank will not be financially liable if such an incident occurs. For any clarifications, please contact us on 80074722,” the message read.
