Book Review: Snow like Ashes by Sara Raasch

Sixteen years ago a war between two kingdoms; Winter and Spring led to the death and the capture of thousands of Winter’s citizens except for a handful of those who were lucky enough to escape and one of them is the main character of this book, Meira.
This book is definitely one of my favourite reads of this year because of the way it’s written, it’s addictive, and as soon as you hold the book you just can’t let it go. What I loved about this book is the plot, it is unique yet beautiful. I also felt connected with the main character and there were a lot of situations where I thought “I could relate to that”. In addition, the names of places in this book are such a nice touch. Meira has a very strong personality and I really admire that about her. To sum up, Snow like Ashes is a must read, it is a fast yet very intriguing novel.
