Visa required for Omanis to visit USA: Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Muscat: Refuting rumours on social media that Omanis no longer need to obtain a visa to visit the United States, Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs tweeted that Omanis DO still need a visa.
“The rumours of social media are false,” the ministry tweeted on its official twitter handle.
The US embassy in Muscat also said in a tweet that Omanis still need visa to visit the US.
A story on USA Radio from earlier this year, re-posted on various websites, said that Omani passport holders no longer require visas to travel to the US.
“This takes Oman off from the list of countries whose citizens are required to obtain visas for travel to the US,” the report falsely stated.
