Sangour to lead Omani delegates at US meetings

Muscat: The Sultanate, represented by the Central Bank of Oman (CBO) will take part in the annual meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund(IMF), to be held from October 7 to October 9 in Washington.
The Sultanate’s delegation to the meetings will be represented by Hamoud bin Sangour Al Zadjali, CBO Executive President and Abdulsalam Mohammed Al Murshidi, CEO of State General Reserve Fund (SGRF), as well as some officials at the Ministry of Finance and CBO.
During the meetings a number of important topics, including studying the financial conditions of the World Bank and IMF and their affiliated institutions for the period ended on June 30, 2015.
According to IMF official website, the Annual and Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group each year bring together central bankers, ministers of finance and development, private sector executives, civil society, and academics to discuss issues of global concern, including the world economic outlook, global financial stability, poverty eradication, jobs and growth, economic development, and aid effectiveness.
The US meetings are widely covered by the international media.
