Oman head to Malaysia to take part in ICC U-19 World Cup qualifier

Muscat: Oman national under-19 cricket team are scheduled to leave for Malaysia early on Saturday to participate in the ICC U-19 World Cup Asia Qualifier Division 2 competition.
The 14-member team are accompanied by coach Nileshkumar Parmar and his assisstant Parvez Abul Qadir Al Balushi, and team manager Dad Mohammed Al Balushi.
Young Wasim Ali will lead the Sultanate squad in the 10-team tournament to be organised in the Malaysian capital city of Kuala Lumpur from September 26 to October 6.
Paritosh Hitesh Kumar will be Wasim’s deputy while the other members of the team are Vivek Shreeraman Iyer, Suhail Hakim Al Balushi, Muhannad Said Haidar Al Balushi, Mohammed Salman, Hemil Maaheshkumar, Ivan Joseph Manjila, Mohit Kanaiyalal, Mohammed Mohsin, Vikram Nabira, Indunil Udara, Prathyosh Sivakumar and Ubaid Ullah.
Oman are placed in Group B along with UAE, Kuwait, Hong Kong and Thailand while Group A comprises Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar and Singapore.
