Weather alert: Dust, heavy winds set to continue in Oman

Muscat: The Sultnate will continue to experience dust and sandy winds on Saturday, March 2, Public Authority for Civil Avaition (PACA) announced.

In a statment, PACA said: “There will be a continuation of the Northwest winds on most of the Sultanate's governorate with the rise of dust and sand.”

The meteroglogy authority shared some of the wind speeds as they were recorded at some monitoring stations on Saturday morning.

“Fahoud is 24 knots, Hima 23 knots, Sohar 20 knots, Liwa 14 knots active up to 28 knots, Shinas 18 knots active up to 32 knots, Masirah 20 knots, and Muscat 17 knots,” PACA's statement pointed out.
