Pakistan issues update on captured Indian pilot

Muscat: An Indian pilot shot down and captured by Pakistani military is being treated according to the norms of "military ethics", according to a senior Pakistan spokesman.
Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor, the Director General of the Inter Services Public Relations of the Pakistan Armed Forces said, “There is only one pilot under Pakistan Army’s custody. Wing Commander Abhi Nandan is being treated as per norms of military ethics.”
Ghafoor had previously said that they had taken an Indian pilot into custody, after his plane was said to be shot down during a reported raid by Pakistan Air Force jets on Indian defence installations. The Indian plane landed in Pakistan Administered Kashmir on the other side of the Line of Control (LOC), the de-facto border between the Indian and Pakistani sectors of Kashmir.
“In response to Pakistan Air Force strikes this morning as released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Indian Air Force crossed the Line of Control,” he’d said. “The Pakistan Air Force shot down two Indian aircrafts inside Pakistani airspace. One of the aircraft fell inside Azad Jammu &Kashmir, while the other fell inside Indian Occupied Kashmir. One Indian pilot was arrested by troops on ground while two in the area.”
