Pakistan’s airspace to resume tomorrow

Muscat: Pakistan’s airspace, which is currently closed due to the ongoing tensions with its neighbour, India, will be reopened tomorrow, February 28, 2019.

All flights bound for Pakistan have been temporarily diverted, while planes that are expected to take off today have been grounded. Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), which is provided to air crew and airport staff, should they need to take precautions in case of risks posed to flights.

According to the NOTAM issued by Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the airspace was closed on February 27 at 7:30 am, and will resume on February 28 at 11:59 pm.
