Uber cabs coming to Oman?

Global ride share service Uber will soon be operating in Oman, but only if they follow the regulations of the Sultanate, the Minister of Transport and Communications has said.
“Uber are welcome to the Sultanate if they agree to run under the regulations set by the ministry. Services such as Uber and Careem can be implemented in taxis only after meters are installed in the vehicle” - H.E. Dr. Ahmed Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications
Speaking at a press conference by the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Minister spoke about the possibility of allowing the international taxi services to operate in the country.
