Indians in Oman asked to contribute to families of Pulwama victims

Muscat: India's embassy in Oman has asked Indian nationals living in the country to continue to send money to the families who lost their sons, fathers, husbands and brothers during the recent Pulwama attacks.
More than 40 Central Reserve Police Force personnel lost their lives in the Pulwama district in Kashmir, and although the government has already surpassed the collection of Rs 15 lakh (about OMR 8000) for every family that lost a loved one during the attacks, the Indian Government has asked for continued funding, so as to meet the needs of the brave men and women who defend the country.
"We thank you for the overwhelming support to the BharatKeVeer portal," said an Indian government spokesman. "Your contribution has helped the families of all CAPF martyrs receive the maximum amount of Rs 15 lakh per family. However, you can still contribute to the corpus which will be ustilised to support all families."
An embassy spokesman added, "In addition to your online contributions at bharatkeveer.gov.in, contributions can also be made by sending cheques drawn in favour of “Bharat Ke Veer” to: Deputy Inspector General, CRPF, CRPF Headquarters, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi -110003, India."
