Ministry of Health denies false healthcare rumours

Muscat: Oman's Ministry of Health has denied reports about a questionnaire measuring Omani citizens' satisfaction with the quality of health services provided in the country.

According to officials, the questionnaire was not approved by the ministry.

In online statement, it said, “This is in reference to the report in social media platforms about a group of Omani doctors conducting a study about to what extent Omani citizens are satisfied with the quality of health services in the Sultanate.”

It added, “The questionnaire is not approved by the ministry, and that there is an approved questionnaire that will be uploaded to the portal of the ministry, to measure the satisfaction of the beneficiaries of services, both in hospitals and health centers, in addition to a questionnaire dedicated to the satisfaction of staff in the ministry.”

It further said, “The Directorate General of the Quality Assurance Centre follows up closely and in cooperation with the concerned directorates, the results of measuring the satisfaction of the beneficiaries and analysing their data periodically.”
