Indian embassy to pay tributes to Pulwama martyrs

Muscat: A prayer meeting will be organised at the Indian Embassy in Oman to mourn the death of 42 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) security personnel in Kashmir on Thursday.
Confirming this, a senior official of the Indian Embassy in Muscat said: “The Embassy of India is organising a prayer meeting/Shraddanjali Sabha on Sunday at 11.30am to offer homage to the victims of the Pulwama terror attack.”
“The prayer meeting will be held at the embassy auditorium and all are requested to attend it,” he said.
Condemned
Earlier, Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) had condemned the terrorist attack that targeted military convey in north India.
The Ministry said in a statement online, “The Sultanate condemns the terrorist attack on an Indian military convoy, after a car bomb collided with a bus belonging to the northern India police.”
The statement issued by the ministry reiterated the solidarity of the Sultanate with India. The ministry also consoled the victims’ families and prayed for the quick recovery of the wounded.
At least 42 Indian soldiers were killed and multiple others were left injured after a bomb exploded at the Indian state of Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.
According to reports, 42 CRPF personnel were killed, while several others were lefty critically wounded and were moved to the Indian army’s 92 base hospital at Srinagar’s Badami Bagh.
