Washington: Authorities in the United States have cancelled more than 2,500 flights due to a winter storm. The strong weather storm hit the northeast and the Midwest of the United States, causing heavy snow, rain and floods, the National Weather Service said.
Flightaware, which tracks flights, said Tuesday that 2,512 flights were cancelled and 5,186 flights delayed.
The impact of the storm on flights began on Monday when 1,142 flights were cancelled and 5, 828 flights delayed.
