Muscat: Heavy to moderate rain lashed various parts of Oman on Tuesday.

Parts of Musandam, Al Buraimi, North Al Batinah and Al Dahirah governorate all witnessed rains on Tuesday, according to the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA).

Officials said that some more isolated rain is expected in the next 24 hours in places such as Al Wusta, North and South of Sharqiyah and Dakliyah.

In a statement, PACA said, “The latest satellite images show the continued flow of clouds over the governorate of Musandam with isolated rainfall.”

“Radar images also indicate the progress of rain clouds in the direction of the governorates of Al Buraimi and northern Batinah,” added PACA.

In its 24-hour outlook, PACA said: “Clear to partly cloudy skies over the northern governorates of the Sultanate with chances of isolated rain. Chances of low-level clouds advection along most of the coastal areas of the Arabian Sea.”

The sea will be moderate to rough along Musandam governorate and the Sea of Oman coasts with a maximum wave height of 2.5 metres.
