Overturned truck causes traffic jam on expressway towards Muscat

Muscat: Traffic on the Al Sharqiyah Expressway - from Al Sharqiyah towards Muscat before the Laziug bridge - has been stopped, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced.

The cause of the traffic jam, officials revealed, was an overturned truck.

In a statement online, ROP said, “The truck deteriorated on the Al Sharqiyah Expressway, from Al Sharqiyah to Muscat before the Laziug bridge. Vehicles have been stopped and the incident is being handled by the concerned authorities."

ROP also asked motorists to take caution.
