State Council panel hears  CMA officials’ views on private sector staff insurance

Muscat: The Social and Economic Committees of the State Council hosted Sheikh Abdullah bin Salim Al Salmi, Executive President of the Capital Market Authority (CMA) and a number of other officials of the authority to deliver a presentation on implementing health insurance system on employees at the private sector, residents and visitors of the Sultanate.
The presentation showed that the CMA has coordinated with departments concerned for preparation of draft laws and regulations necessary for implementing the said health insurance system. The presentation also dealt with the steps set by the CMA for implementing the health insurance system for employees working in the of the private sector and visitors to the Sultanate.
The meeting also discussed the mechanism for implementing the health insurance system for employees of the private sector, residents and visitors of the Sultanate, the impacts of implementation of the system and the extent of readiness of the private sector companies and establishments and the health establishments for implementing the system.
