16 expats arrested for violating Omani laws

Muscat: 16 expatriates have been arrested in North Al Sharqiyah governorate on charges of violating labour and residency law, the Royal Oman Police informed on Tuesday.

In a statement issued online, ROP said: "The police command in North Al Sharqiyah governorate carried out an operation and arrested 16 expats on charges of violating labour and residency laws within Ibra police station."

Legal proceedings are being completed.
