Muscat: A new flight route from Muscat to Qeshm, Iran has been announced by authorities from Oman Airports.

According to officials, Qeshm Air, an airline from Iran, has officially launched two weekly flights from Muscat.

The new route 'GSM-MCT-GSM' (Qeshm- Muscat- Qeshm) will connect travellers to the island of Qeshm, which is located in the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement, Oman Airports said, "Qeshm Airline is now flying to MCT International Airport twice a week from Qeshm".
