10,000 saplings to be planted in the Wilayat of Al Amerat

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs is handing over 10,000 saplings to Muscat Municipality.
The municipality will plant the trees in Al Amerat to help increase the local green cover as part of an initiative that started three years ago.
"This cooperation programme is a part of the initiative Ashgar (Arabic for trees) which the ministry launched on March 3, 2016, in order to preserve local plants and protect them." - Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs
Muscat municipality called the partnership between the two government agencies an effort to be proud of.
