Tennis: Rayyan, Ahmed post win at ISC Open

MUSCAT: Budding Omani players Rayyan Al Busaidi and Ahmed Al Hinai posted impressive wins at the ISC-Muscat Pharmacy Open Junior Tennis Tournament which got underway at the Indian Social Club on Sunday.
Making her debut at the ISC tournament, Rayyan showed good promise and progressed to the second round of the Under-12 Girls singles with an emphatic 8-0 victory over Ilavantika Sundaram.
Ahmed bin Khalid Al Hinai impressed with a fine all-round game to win his first round match in the Under-10 Boys singles when he defeated S.S. Nitish Pranav 6-3. Ahmed made further progress when he defeated Sanabhi Ail 6-2 in the second round.
In other first round matches of the Under-10, Renjana Sivan scored a confident 6-0 win over Michelle, Nitishsai Harinath scored a comfortable 6-0 victory over Nuaim Shanawaz and Riddish Mane was a 6-1 winner over Dhruv Iyer and in the second round Nitishsai Harinath beat Daya Shankar 6-2.
