Olympics: Oman Paralympic Committee, Eshraqa sign sponsorship agreement

MUSCAT: Under the patronage of Sheikh Sa'ad bin Mohammed Al Mardhouf Al Sa'adi, Minister of Sports Affairs, Oman Paralympic Committee signed an exclusive sponsorship agreement with Eshraqa, the social development arm of Khimji Ramdas in a bid to highlight Oman’s continued success within the international sporting arena.
The agreement was signed by Dr Mansour Sultan Al Touqi, Chairman of Oman Paralympic Committee and Nailesh Khimji, Director, Khimji Ramdas, and witnessed by the Minister of Sports Affairs and a number of representatives from both entities.
Commenting on the collaboration, Dr Mansour Al Touqi, Chairman of Oman Paralympic Committee said, “Our association with Khimji Ramdas has been a productive one and we are delighted to have them on board supporting our national and international sporting events. This collaboration will give us an opportunity to further enhance our team skills along with attracting other talent to come forward and participate. We thank Khimji Ramdas for their commitment towards improving quality of life for the differently abled.”
Throughout the last years, Eshraqa has contributed in empowering Oman’s Paralympic team and rejoiced at their consecutive successes raising the flag of Oman high and breaking world records in regional, continental and international Paralympic competitions and championships.
Nailesh Khimji, Director, Khimji Ramdas said, “We are honoured to support the Oman Paralympic Committee in all their endeavours which initiates positive engagement for the progress of our nation. Over the years, Eshraqa has contributed in empowering Oman’s Paralympic team and rejoiced at their consecutive successes raising the flag of Oman high and breaking world records in regional, continental and international Paralympic competitions and championships. Our commitment develops from our philosophy of giving back to society to create self-reliant communities and to facilitate social integration.”
The Oman Paralympic Committee works diligently to rehabilitate and train athletes with special needs through various Paralympic competitions along with providing a plethora of opportunities for new talent to demonstrate their prowess in local and international competitions.
