Muscat: Oman's rescue and emergency service authority has asked the public to not risk their lives and the lives of those accompanying them by driving in wadis.
This came after the Public Authority of Civil Aviation issued a weather report which forecast rains and occasional thundershowers along the northern parts of the Sultanate starting today, Sunday, February 3 until Wednesday, Febuary 6.
Videos of heavily flowing wadis were shared by social media users, such as the one above in wilayat Bakah in Musandam shared by Musandam municipal authorities.
In online statement, the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) said, "The Sultanate will be affected by a trough of low-pressure system starting from Sunday until Wednesday evening. We call upon citizens and residents to abide by the rules and not crossing wadis, and to stay away from the electric poles and to lock down loose objects."
