Omani dies after being rescued

Muscat: A citizen has died after being rescued on Saturday evening from Wadi Bani Khalid, the Royal Oman Police said.

According to authorities, the citizen was in critical condition when rescued last night, and was transported to the hospital immediately.

In a statement, the police said, "A citizen has died after being rescued while in a critical condition yesterday in one of the floods in Wadi Bani Khalid in the Governorate of Northern Sharqiyah."

Last night, the police announced that two people were in critical condition after being rescued from Wadi Bani Khalid by citizens.

ROP added that a search is still underway for an Asian family of six who had previously been carried away by the force of flooding in a wadi.
