Himesh, Nowfal share honours at ISC badminton tournament

Muscat: Himesh Haridas and Nowfal MV shared top honours on the concluding day of the Annual Badminton Tournament organised by the Indian Social Club Oman and sponsored by Pitstop Automotive Services..
Himesh and Nowfal both claimed double crowns with Himesh adding the men’s singles title to the mixed doubles which he had won earlier.
Nowfal won two doubles titles, the men’s doubles and the men’s-A doubles.
Himesh, undoubtedly was the centre of attention as he dominated the men’s singles final and put in a brilliant all-round game to defeat Nowfal MV in straight games 21-16, 21-8.
Earlier, Nowfal had completed the doubles victory in two doubles events. He first partnered Abin Jose to register a thrilling 21-17, 22-20 victory over Aaron Aju and Nithin P. And completed the double when he claimed the men’s doubles title with Shanith after defeating the duo of Abdul Salam and Sami MV 21-13, 21-18.
Girish Pillai and Gopa Kumaar Pillai of Pitspot Automotive Services, the sponsor of the tournament presided over the finals and distributed the prizes to the winners. ISC Vice Chairman CM Sardar and others from the club were also present.
