Muscat: A person has been arrested for car drifting, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced.
The accused was drifting in the Wilayat of Rustaq.
In a statement online, ROP said, “The police command of the southern Batinah, represented by the Special Police Task Force of Rustaq, seized a vehicle that was used for drifting without number plates.”
The driver was arrested after he “refused to stop the car and tried to escape,” the statement added.
According to ROP, the suspect was referred to judicial authorities for further investigation.
