Forum focus on potential of Yanqul

Yanqul: Activities of Yanqul Economic Forum 2019 in the Governorate of A’Dhahira began yesterday under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Mohammed bin Salim Al Said.
The 10-day forum is organised by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in the Governorate of A’Dhahira at Beit Al Marah Castle.
The forum aims to highlight the economic, tourism and cultural potentials of the Wilayat of Yanqul in particular and the wilayats of the Governorate in general. It also aims at creating commercial, tourism, cultural and entertainment activities in the Wilayat of Yanqul and the Governorate of A’Dhahira.
The forum includes a number of economic events, namely three seminars. During the seminars, 9 working papers will be presented by a number of government ministries concerned with facilitating investment. The seminars will focus on investment in the field of tourism and agriculture, financing institutions, funds and services that provided to the investors, as well as consumer protection and its role in regulating the market.
Specialised corners
The forum includes specialised corners, such as the SEMs corner, the productive families corner, the handicraft centre corner, the heritage village, theatre, entertainment, the bedouin tent, the popular kitchen, the gallery of old and modern photographs, in addition to a corner for young traders.
The forum will be accompanied by sports competitions, such as shooting, football tournament and volleyball tournament, in addition to a competition to be held between the villages of the wilaya to highlight the heritage, folklore and talents in these villages.
