MUSCAT: Indian School Al Seeb Girls’ team went ecstatic when they lifted the Ambassador’s Cup 2019 beating all other Indian school teams. Once again the school has proved its dominion in the field of hockey by attaining such a vivacious victory.

The Ambassador’s Cup Hockey Tournament was organised by the Indian Embassy and Oman Hockey Association (OHA) on January 19, 2019 at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher to celebrate the 70th Republic Day of India.

The Chief Guest for the tournament was Indian Ambassador Munu Mahawar, who was joined by Guests of Honour Kiran Asher, Group Managing Director of Al Ansari Group, and Captain Talib Al Wahaibi, Chairman of the Oman Hockey Association.

A. K. Moidu, President, School Management Committee, Dr. Mujeeb Hussain, Sports Chairperson and other members of the School Management Committee and the Principal, Mrs. Leena Francis congratulated the team and lauded the strenuous efforts of the PE teachers, especially Jitendra Sharma, the school hockey team coach.
