Ministry clarifies on hospital fee exemption for people with disabilities

Muscat: The Ministry of Social Development has issued a statement clarifying about the demographic that is exempt from visiting fees at public hospitals in Oman.
"People with disabilities who are under the social security umbrella only are exempted from health visit fees," the ministry said, "There is no agreement between the ministry and the Ministry of Health on the exemption from fees for this category [people with disability card].
This comes as a response to questions regarding whether all people with disability cards are exempt from hospital visit fees.
