Registration for Shura council membership announced in Oman

Muscat: Oman's Ministry of Interior has announced the deadline for submitting applications for Majlis Al Shura's 9th term membership.
The application period will be between February 3 and February 2, 2019.
Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al- Busaidi, Minister of Interior today issued a Ministerial Decision No.3/2019 defining the opening and expiry dates for receiving nominations for the 9th term of Majlis A'Shura. As per the decision, nomination applications may be submitted from Sunday, February 3, 2019 to Thursday, February 21, 2019. The last date for withdrawing nomination will be on Thursday, August 22, 2019.
The Ministry of Interior said that Omani citizens with interest to nominate for the 9th term of Majlis A'Shura who meet requirements for nominations may submit their application through the election website (www.elections.om) after filling up designated forms available on the website, along with supporting documents.
The Ministry also said that any application submitted after the said dates or through any mean other than the elections website will not be entertained.
