Musandam hotels see jump in occupancy of rooms

Muscat: Hotel occupancy and the total number of hotel guests in Musandam have significantly increased, according to statistics released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
Data from the authority showed a 39.9 per cent increase in the total number of guests in three-five star hotels in Musandam during the month of November 2018.
The authority tweeted, “The total number of guests in hotels rated (three-five) stars in the Musandam Governorate in November 2018 was 4,421, an increase of 39.9 per cent compared to November 2017.”
Hotel occupancy also increased year on year by 18.1 per cent during the month of November.
“The hotel occupancy rate in hotels rated (three-five) stars in the Musandam Governorate in November 2018 was 62.8 per cent, an increase of 18.1 per cent compared to November 2017,” the NCSI stated in another tweet.
Revenues also increased in November.
The NCSI said, “Total revenues of hotels rated three to five stars in the Musandam Governorate in November 2018 increased 14 per cent compared to November 2017.”
