Muscat: BMW Group Importer for Oman, Al Jenaibi International Automobiles, have pledged their support for NBO Golf Classic Grand Final, to be organised at Almouj Golf, The Wave, Muscat from November 4 to 7.

Al Jenaibi International Automobiles supported NBO’s Golf Classic event last year, the only European Challenge Tour event in the Middle East, by providing transportation for VIP guests attending the event.

This year, they are partnering with NBO for the climax of the European Challenge Tour season where the top 45 professionals will be competing to finish in the first 15 places on the Road to Oman Rankings at the conclusion of the Grand Final to earn their playing privileges for the 2016 European Tour International Schedule.

After two hugely successful years as title sponsor of the NBO Golf Classic, the penultimate event of the European Challenge Tour season, the Bank has stepped up their involvement to become title sponsor of the season-ending Grand Final.

Ahmed Al Musalmi, CEO of NBO, commented: “We are delighted to have Al Jenaibi International Automobiles as our partner. With BMW being the Official Car of The European Tour it is a good fit for NBO and the tournament.

The NBO Golf Classic Grand Final has certainly put the Sultanate on the world golf and tourism map and has created considerable opportunities for Oman’s international business and tourism to benefit from the exposure the event has brought.

“The overwhelming success of the NBO Golf Classic events in 2013 and 2014, has also helped create the introduction of the Road to Oman, which has added to the global promotion of the Sultanate as a must-visit business, tourism and golf destination.

“The Road to Oman Rankings will have taken in 25 tournaments in 19 different countries worldwide this year, mixing historic tournaments such as the Barclays Kenya Open and the Rolex Trophy with newer events in developing golfing nations such as Slovakia, Turkey and China.

“The triumphant winner of the 2015 NBO Golf Classic Grand Final will receive a first prize cheque for $52,800 while the player who tops the Road to Oman Rankings will have the honour of being crowned Challenge Tour Number One and will receive a Bonus of $32,000 along with an engraved Rolex watch.

“We have achieved all this while remaining committed to our Omani National golfers who will compete in the 36-hole NBO Amateur Final, which will be played in conjunction with the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final.

“The fact that NBO has invested in the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final by committing to the title sponsorship of the tournament for the next four years is another example of the vision of the Bank in widening its horizons and appealing to a completely new global audience.”

Diveyndu Kumar, Managing Director of Al Jenaibi International Automobiles, commented: “We are pleased to be a partner of the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final. We wish the cream of the Challenge Tour every success in their attempt to make the top 15 in the Road to Oman Rankings and earn their place on next season’s European Tour Schedule.
