His Majesty the Sultan gives audience to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said granted an audience to Mike Pompeo, Secretary of State of the United States of America (USA), at Bait Al Baraka on Monday evening.
The audience reviewed aspects of the existing cooperation between the Sultanate and the USA in various spheres to serve the joint interests of their friendly people, in addition to discussing the current developments in the regional and international arenas.
The audience was attended by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Darwish bin Ismail Al Bulushi, Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs and Dr. Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidi, Minister of Commerce and Industry. It was also attended from the US side by Marc J. Sievers, US Ambassador to the Sultanate and David Satterfield, Acting Assistant Secretary for Near Eastern Affairs.
