The Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) has banned military or similar clothing and accessories from being worn in Oman.
This came after the chairman of the PACP issued ministerial decree 9/2019, implementing the same.
Article 1 of the decision prohibits the wearing of military or similar clothes and their accessories.
Article 2 stipulates that anyone who contravenes the provisions of the decree shall be punished by an administrative fine of not less than OMR50.

In case of a repeat violation, a fine of OMR50 will be imposed for each day and shall not exceeded OMR2,000.
