Expats jailed, fined for human trafficking and kidnapping

Muscat: A number of expats have been jailed and fined over human trafficking and kidnapping charges, Oman's Public Prosecution has said.
According to officials, the accused kidnapped the victim and forced her into prostitution.
In an online statement, Public Prosecution said, "The Criminal Court in Salalah sentenced a number of expats to seven years in prison each, and were fined OMR10,000 each.
"The defendants kidnapped and trafficked the expat woman, and forced her into prostitution to make money." The court also ordered the permanent deportation of the accused.
