Expats jailed, fined for human trafficking

A number of expats have been jailed and fined on charges of human trafficking, the Public Prosecution revealed.
According to officials, the accused exploited another expat woman and forced her into prostitution.
"A number of expats were sentenced to ten years in prison each and fined OMR10,000 each. The defendants trafficked the expat woman and forced her into prostitution to make money."
The court also ordered the permanent deportation of the accused and issued an order to confiscate all the money they earned.
