Muscat: As part of promoting tourism in the Sultanate, an agreement was signed with a Dutch company to construct the first snow village in Oman. The OMR 12 million project will part of the Palm Mall in Muscat as an integrated commercial tourism project.

Shaikh Mahmoud bin Mohammed Jarwani, Chairman, Tamani Global Company, and owner of the Palm Mall, said: “We focus a lot on the quality of the projects to be distinct and different from what exists in terms of components,” pointing out that it is expensive but the country needs such a project to promote tourism.

He added that currently the company is working on preparing young Omanis to manage the Palm Mall project and its facilities according to an integrated plan to boost tourist and recreational facilities, hotels and others.

He also expressed his delight in partnership General Reserve Fund of the state, which owns 25 per cent of the project.
