Robbers arrested in Oman after victim alerts police via social media

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) have made an arrest after a robbery took place in the wilayat of Samail.

ROP reported via Twitter "a citizen used social media to alert the Royal Oman Police to a robbery in the wilayat of Samail, asking them to arrest the criminals."

"The police can confirm that the perpetrators have been arrested and legal measures taken."

The ROP went on to add that a number of other cases of robbery occurred in the wilayat, stating that legal procedures had also been carried out.

The statement rounded off by saying [ROP] also calls upon everyone to take the appropriate preventive measures to safeguard their property."
