Oman's Ministry of Manpower has found 251 companies in violation of the midday break rule during the month of June. According to the data, the ministry visited 1,003 companies and found 251 of them breaking the rule. The rule bans work at outdoor sites between 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm during the summer. Violators can be penalised with fines ranging from OMR100 to OMR500, or a jail term of not more than one month, or both.
