Ministry warns against sale and consumption of poisonous fish

Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries has issued a warned against selling and consuming poisonous fish in Oman.
This comes after six people were reported to be in critical condition after consuming puffer fish.
In an online statement, the ministry said, "The ministry has followed up the poisoning case of expats after they consumed puffer fish. The ministry has warned against the sale and eating of poisonous fish as per the regulation of the quality of Omani fish, and the need for fishermen's commitment to dispose of them in the correct way."
