Oman, China discuss ways to upgrade economic, trade and financial ties

Beijing: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry met at the Chinese capital, Beijing with Ning Jizhe, Vice Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of the People’s Republic of China.
The two sides exchanged viewpoints on how to upgrade economic, trade and financial relations between the two friendly countries, as the NDRC is responsible for promoting foreign trade and investment exchanges with friendly countries.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al Sa’adi, Sultanate’s Ambassador to China, Abdulaziz bin Moosa Al Kharousi, Deputy Head of the Secretary General Department for Programmes and Communications and the delegation accompanying Sayyid Badr from the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development (Ithraa), the Special Economic Zone Authority in Duqm (SEZAD) and Chinese
officials.
There is cooperation between the Central Bank of Oman (CBO), the State General Reserve Fund (SGRF), and the NDRC of China, which is supervising the Chinese investments in the Special Economic Zone of Duqm (SEZD).
